Sharing the memories of holocaust survivors via the Stories feature on Instagram
This week we kicked off “Sharing Memories”, a special project initiated by Meta in Israel and the Israeli aid organization Latet. 22 of Israel’s biggest artists, influencers and content creators have met with holocaust survivors and documented their intimate sessions to their Instagram Stories – in order to connect young people with their testimonies. The digital assets of the public figures, who have a cumulative audience of millions of young people, have provided a significant platform for Holocaust survivors, and allowed their voices to be heard in the reality of a vanishing generation, while bridging the generation gap by speaking relevantly to youth.
